My Scraproom!

I thought I'd share some pictures of
my scraproom with you.

Summer 2009

Heres a picture I finally decided to scrap, that I've had
sitting in a box for quite a while now.
I did this layout with one of my favourite papers.
Its Kaisercraft Wise from the What a Hoot! collection.

I stamped behind the pictures for some added
dimension.  I then punched out some butterflies with my

This is one of my favourite Thickers!
Jewelry Box in brown.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks Imaginisce!!!!

I just wanted to say "Thanks" to Imaginisce.
I won a prize pack of the entire Animal Crackers
collection!!! And its fabulous!

Stay tuned, to see what I create with
all this fabulousness, in the very near future!!!

This was hard.....

This had to be one of the hardest projects I've done!
Why?, you ask, well let me start
by saying, the actual concept was super easy,
it was the challenge that Marie from my LSS
Paper Craft Cafe gave me.  Marie handed me
And asked me to design this for her store.
The reason I struggled with this project was
because of the paper.  It is not my style, It was not
something that I would have chosen.  Poor Marie,
this project took me forever!  But after many hours,
looking, thinking and rearranging and detailing,
this is what I came up with!  I tried to do little
things that would put a bit of my style on it without
taking away from the "homey" feeling of the paper.

I started by painting the frame black, then
I put a coat of brown over top.  When it dried I sanded it a
bit to give it a worn look.

Here is a close up of some hand stitching that I did.
The pattern was printed on the paper, but I had to put
my spin on it, so I sat at my desk, and hand pierced all the
little holes so that I could cross stitch the birds.
I love the depth it gives to the paper!

Here I just added a button with some floss to
make the clock "pop" a little

I did the same here, but I aslo added a bit of
sparkle on the white line with my Sakura
Stardust Pen

Here I added some scraps of ribbon

Here I punched some flowers, from some scraps of
paper I had.  I had to add some sparkle!

I have to say, once I figure out how to work with this paper,
the project flew!  I think I may have to teach a
class on this in the near future!

Scrapbooking Day....

So my friend Marie, who own the LSS in my area has
asked me to hold some demo's on

Any suggestions of what I should do????

Would love to hear your ideas!

Ughhh!!!

So, some days I could just pull my hair out!
Especially when my laptop crashes, and I have to use
my husbands!  So here I am, getting ready to post
new stuff on my blog AND, I cannot see my blog!
Apparently, his computer does not like my blog. I can see
my title, and my patterns on the sides, but thats it! Nothing
that I've posted! UGhhhh! So until tonight, or tomorrow
Im stuck with his laptop.  In the meantime, hopefully this will post, and
that way you know I'm not ignoring you!!!! Until later......

Organization

Here a picture of my shelf in my scraproom.
I love all the colours!  I like to have my supplies
out in the open where I can see them.  I find that if
I have them hidden, I forget about them!

My Garden

I was sifting through the hundreds of pictures
I had taken of my garden last year, and thought to myself,
what am I going to do with all these?  I decided to use my square
punch and punch out the "pretty" parts of all the pictures, and
turn it into 1 layout.  Here is what I came up with...

Monkey Business

This is a quick layout I did of
my son Noah @ 10 months.

I used K & Company's Actopus to Zelephant Collection!

Our House

Here is a layout I did awhile ago

I scraplifted this from Kristake on Scrapbook.com.
I couldn't resist!  What a great idea!  This will
be fun to look at with the kids in the years that come!

I thought it was a unique way to journal random
bits of information, that would have otherwise been
a challange to write much about.
